Mykulyntsi is now a town in Ternopil district of Ternopil region. The local Jewish community has been known since the 18th century. During World War II, Mykulyntsi was the administrative center of Mykulyntsi district. Soon after the German attack on the USSR, on July 5, 1941, the village was occupied by Wehrmacht troops. The Nazi government began to implement Holocaust policies. It is known that in July of the same year, 60 Jews were killed in a forest near the Seret River. At the same time, the Jews of the town and its environs were deported to the Belzec concentration camp (a settlement in the Lublin Voivodeship, Poland). As a result of combat operations, on Thursday, March 23, 1944, Mykulyntsi was taken over by the Red Army. |

Микулинці – нині селище міського типу у Тернопільському районі Тернопільської області. Іудейська громада відома тут з XVIII ст. У роки Другої світової війни Микулинці – адміністративний центр однойменного району. Після нападу Німеччини на СРСР селище було окуповане військами вермахту 5 липня 1941 р. Нацистська влада почала втілювати політику Голокосту. Відомо, що у липні того ж року було вбито 60 євреїв у лісі поблизу річки Серет. Поряд із цим євреїв містечка та округи вивозили у концентраційний табір Белжець (населений пункт у Люблінському воєводстві Польщі). У результаті ведення бойових дій 23 березня 1944 р. Микулинці зайняла Червона армія. |
