Zinkiv is a town in Poltava region. In the late 19th century, Jews made up 12.1% of the local population; at the beginning of World War II, there were 142 Jews in the town. The Nazis occupied the town on October 9, 1941. The local Jews were squeezed into one house; in late January 1942 they were shot along with Jews from the village of Hrun in Sumy region. 19 Jews were shot dead at the brick factory. Another 7 people were killed at the local cemetery. The shooting was carried out by the 303rd police battalion under the command of Robert Frank. |

Зіньків – місто в Полтавській області. На кінець XIX століття євреї складали 12,1% місцевого населення, а на початок Другої світової війни в місті проживало 142 євреї. Нацисти окупували місто 9 жовтня 1941 року. Місцевих євреїв зігнали в один будинок, а в кінці січня 1942 року їх було розстріляно разом із євреями села Грунь Сумської області. На території цегляного заводу було розстріляно 19 євреїв. Ще 7 осіб було вбито на місцевому кладовищі. Розстріл здійснював 303 батальйон поліції під командуванням Роберта Франка. |
