Sofiivka (Trokhimbrid) is a Volyn town destroyed during the Nazi occupation. It was founded by Jewish immigrants in 1835, located 30 km northeast of Lutsk near the villages of Yaromel and Klubochyn in the Kivertsi district. As of 1897, there were 1580 Jews living in Sofiivka. The town was occupied by Wehrmacht troops in late June 1941. The implementation of the Holocaust politics soon followed. A ghetto was soon established. The Jews of Sofiyivka and its environs were executed on July 26 and September 21, 1942. Some craftsmen were transferred to a labor camp in the village of Selyshche (currently non-existent), which was located near the current village of Chornyzh of Manevychi district. In December 1942, all specialists of the labor camp in the village of Selyshche were also executed. The exact number of victims remains unknown. As a result of combat operations, the territory was taken over by the Red Army in February 1944. |

Софіївка (Трохимбрід) – волинське містечко знищене у період нацистської окупації. Засноване єврейськими переселенцями у 1835 р. Знаходилось за 30 км на північному сході від Луцька неподалік сіл Яромель та Клубочин Ківерцівського району. Станом на 1897 р. у Софіївці проживало 1580 євреїв. Містечко було окуповане військами вермахту наприкінці червня 1941 р. Нацисти почали втілювати політику Голокосту. Незабаром було створено гетто. Євреї Софіївки та околиць були страчені 26 липня і 21 вересня 1942 р. Частину ремісників перевели у робітничий табір с. Селище (нині не існує), яке знаходилось неподалік сучасного с. Чорниж Маневицького району. У грудні 1942 р. всі фахівці робітничого табору с. Селище також були страчені. Точна чисельність жертв залишається невідомою. У результаті ведення бойових дій у лютому 1944 р. дану територію зайняла Червона армія. |
