Korytnytsia is a village in the Volodymyr-Volynskyi district of the Volyn region, 19 km from the nearest town of Ustyluh. Jews lived in Korytnytsia since the mid-16th century. Gradually, the community grew. In 1897, about 500 Jews lived here. As of 1921, Korytnytsia had 355 inhabitants, 279 were Jews. Just like Ustyluh, Korytnytsia was occupied in the first days of the war. The local Jewish community perished on May 9 (25), 1942. Some residents were shot on the outskirts of the village, others were taken to the village of Pyatydni, and executed there. As a result of the Red Army offensive, on July 21, 1944, the Wehrmacht troops were driven out of the village. |

Коритниця – село у Володимир-Волинському районі Волинської області. Розташоване за 19 км від найближчого містечка Устилуг. У Коритниці євреї проживали із середини XVI ст. Громада поступово розвивалась. У 1897 р. тут проживало близько 500 євреїв. Станом на 1921 р. у Коритниці нараховувалось 355 жителів, з них 279 євреїв. Як і Устилуг, Коритниця була окупована вже у перші дні війни. Місцева єврейська громада загинула 9 (25) травня 1942 р. Частину жителів розстріляли на околиці села, інших вивезли до с. П’ятидні, де стратили. У результаті наступу Червоної армії, 21 липня 1944 р. війська вермахту були вибиті з даної території." |
