Porytsk (since 1951— Pavlivka) is now a village in the Ivanychi district of the Volyn region. The first mention of Jews here dates back to the mid-16th century. The Jewish community was actively growing. As of 1897, there were 1,316 Jews living in Porytsk; they comprised over 58% of the total population. Porytsk was occupied by the Wehrmacht on the second day of the German-Soviet war—on June 23, 1941. The massacres of the Jews began almost immediately. A ghetto was soon established in the town; its inhabitants were executed on September 7-9, 1942. One of the groups of Jews was shot at the premises of the local hospital on September 1, 1942. The exact number of the victims is unknown. During the German occupation, mass executions of Jews also took place in other settlements of the district: Ivanychi, Pereslavychi, Kuchkiv. In July 1944, the territory was taken over by the Red Army. |

Порицьк (з 1951 р. Павлівка) – нині село в Іваничівському районі Волинської області. Перші згадки про євреїв відносяться до середини XVI ст. Іудейська громада активно розвивалась. У 1897 р. в Порицьку проживало 1 316 євреїв, які становили більше 58% від всього населення. Із початком німецько-радянської війни, Порицьк був окупований вермахтом вже на другий день – 23 червня 1941 р. Майже одразу розпочались розправи над євреями. У Порицьку було створено гетто, жителів якого періодично страчували упродовж вересня 1942 р. Одну з груп євреїв розстріляли на території місцевої лікарні 1 вересня 1942 р. Точна чисельність жертв невідома. У період німецької окупації розправи над євреями відбувались і в інших населених пунктах округи – Іваничах, Переславичах, Кучкові. У липні 1944 р. дану територію зайняла Червона армія. |
