Pavlovychi is a village located to the west of Ovruch. In early September, 1941, it was occupied by the Nazis. According to Yevhenia Huralnyk's memoirs, Jews from different parts of Ukraine—and sometimes from abroad—were brought to the village: from Lutsk, Rivne, Berdychiv, Novohrad-Volynskyi, and even from Warsaw. The Nazi commandant promised them to create a ""Jewish colony"", thus a ghetto was established in the streets of the village. In November, the residents of the ghetto were taken to work in a Polish cemetery: they were told that they were digging a hole for storage of beets. On December 25 and 26, 1941, the Jews of the Pavlovychi ghetto were shot in the pit. The exact number of victims is unknown.
In addition to the Pavlovychi, the executions of Jews in the Ovruch district took place in Ovruch itself, in the villages of Hladkovychii and Novi Velidnyky.

Павловичі – село, розташоване на захід від Овруча. На початку серпня 1941 року воно було окуповане нацистами. За спогадами Євгенії Гуральник, в селі перебували євреї з різних куточків України й не тільки: Луцьк, Рівне, Бердичів, Новоград-Волинський та навіть Варшава. Нацистський комендант пообіцяв їм створення «єврейської колонії», тому на вулицях села постало гетто. В листопаді жителів гетто возили на роботи до польського кладовища: їм казали, що вони копають яму для зберігання буряків. 25 та 26 грудня 1941 року в цій ямі відбулися розстріли євреїв гетто Павловичів. Кількість жертв невідома.
Окрім Павловичів, розстріли євреїв Овруцького району відбувалися в самому Овручі, селах Гладковичі та Нові Велідники.
