Kolodianka is a village in Novohrad-Volynskyi district of Zhytomyr region. It is located 20 km to the south of the district center. The first mention of the village dates back to the 16th century, while the local Jews were first mentioned in the late 18th century. As of 1941, there were 47 Jews living in the village.

The Nazis occupied Kolodianka in early July, 1941. That same month, nine local Jews were shot dead in a forest near the village of Dubrivka in Baranivka district. The rest of the Jews of Kolodianka were placed in the house of a local resident, Maria Kiyanska, and in a building near the mill at the cornfield. They were forced to wear identification badges and to perform strenuous manual labor.

In mid August 1941 (according to some reports, August 19), at least 14 Jewish women and children of Kolodianka were shot in the field behind the train station. The rest of the victims were brought by the Nazis to the ghetto near the train station, where local Jews stayed together with Jews from neighboring villages in Yarun, Novohrad-Volynskyi, and Baranivka districts. In September 1941 the ghetto was gradually exterminated. 250 victims were shot in four pits near the train station. The shootings were performed by the 3rd Platoon of the 3rd Company of the 45th Reserve Police Battalion.

Колодянка – село Новоград-Волинського району Житомирської області. Розташоване у 20 км на південь від районного центру. Перші згадки про село датуються XVI століттям, а згадки про євреїв з’являються в кінці XVIII століття. Станом на 1941 рік у селі проживало 47 євреїв.

Нацисти окупували Колодянку на початку липня 1941 року. Цього ж місяця 9 місцевих євреїв було розстріляно в лісі поблизу с. Дубрівка Баранівського району. Решта євреїв Колодянки були розселені у будинку місцевої жительки Марії Киянської та в будівлі біля млина на кукурудзяному полі. Їх примушували носити розпізнавальні знаки та працювати на важких фізичних роботах.

В середині серпня 1941 року (за деякими даними, 19 серпня), щонайменше 14 єврейських жінок та дітей Колодянки були розстріляні в полі за залізничною станцією. Решту жертв нацисти зігнали в гетто поблизу станції, де, разом  з місцевими євреями, перебували євреї із сусідніх сіл  Ярунського, Новоград-Волинського та Баранівського району. Поступово, протягом вересня 1941 року гетто було ліквідоване. 250 жертв були розстріляні в чотирьох ямах біля залізничної станції. Розстріли здійснював 3 взвод 3 роти 45 резервного батальйону поліції.
