Meleni is a village of Korosten (in the time of WWII—Chopovychi) district of Zhytomyr region. Before the war, there were two collective farms here, and the Jewish craftsmen worked for them. In early August 1941, the village was occupied by the Nazis. On August 22, the Nazis shot 74 people near the Petrovskyi collective farm. The Jews of Meleni were also shot in September 1941 on the road to Korosten. |

Мелені – село Коростенського (в період Другої світової війни - Чоповицького) району Житомирської області. Перед війною тут розташовувалось два колгоспи, у яких працювали євреї-ремісники. На початку серпня 1941 року село було окуповане нацистами. 22 серпня біля колгоспу «Петровський» нацисти розстріляли 74 особи. Також євреї Меленів були розстріляні у вересні 1941 року по дорозі в Коростень. |
