​"Kulchyny is a village in Krasyliv district of Khmelnytskyi region. The first written mention of Jews in this area dates back to the late 16th century. The 1897 census recorded 2,031 Jews in Kulchyn, or 47.4% of the population. Before World War II, the Jewish population of the town more than doubled: there were 4,500 Jews.

On July 8, 1941, the Nazis occupied the town. Jews from Kulchyn and surrounding villages were forced into a ghetto, which lasted a year. During this period, ghetto residents were shot all the time. In May 1942, the inhabitants of the Kulchyn ghetto were sent to a labor camp in the village of Velyki Orlyntsi. There people died from exhaustion, disease, and starvation. The number of victims of the Kulchyn ghetto is unknown.

 On March 10, 1944, the Red Army liberated Kulchyn from the Nazis. "

Кульчини – село Красилівського району Хмельницької області. Перші письмові згадки про євреїв у цій місцевості датуються кінцем XVI століття. Перепис 1897 року зафіксував 2031 єврейського жителя Кульчин, що становило 47,4% населення. Перед початком Другої світової війни єврейське населення містечка зросло більш ніж удвічі – до 4500 осіб.
8 липня 1941 року нацисти окупували містечко. Євреїв Кульчин та навколишніх сіл зігнали в гетто, яке проіснувало рік. Протягом цього періоду постійно відбувались розстріли мешканців гетто. В травні 1942 року мешканців кульчинського гетто відправили до трудового табору в с. Великі Орлинці. Люди помирали тут від виснаження, хвороб та голоду. Кількість жертв кульчинського гетто невідома.
 10 березня 1944 року Червона Армія звільнила Кульчини від нацистів.
