"Mynkivtsi is a village in the Kamianets-Podilskyi District of the Khmelnytskyi Region. Jews began to settle here in the 18th century. After the Koliivshchyna uprising in 1768, the Jewish population of the town decreased significantly. In the late 19th century, there were 2196 Jews. At the beginning of World War II, Jews made up 46.5% of the population of Mynkivtsi—1635 people. On July 12, 1941, the Nazis entered the town. In August, after the arrival of Jewish refugees from Kamianets-Podilskyi, Lviv, and other cities, a ghetto was established. On August 30, the occupiers gathered 2,200 ghetto residents in the area of Bazarna Square with all their belongings. The Jews were told that they would be sent to Palestine. Instead, the victims were taken to the village of Hlybochok, east of the town. Three pits were prepared there. The shooting was carried out by the 320th police battalion. After the campaign, 25 Jewish men who were sorting the clothes and property of those shot were also killed near the fat-melting plant. The rest of the Jews were most likely sent to the Dunayivtsi ghetto, where they died in October 1942. Mynkivtsi was liberated from the Nazis on March 28, 1944. " |

Миньківці – село Кам’янець-Подільського району Хмельницької області. Євреї почали селитися тут у XVIII столітті. Після Коліївщини 1768 р. єврейське населення містечка суттєво знизилося. На кінець XIX століття воно складало 2196 жителів. На початок Другої світової війни євреї складали майже половину населення Миньковець – 1635 осіб або 46,5%. 12 липня 1941 року нацисти увійшли до міста. В серпні, після прибуття до міста єврейських біженців із Кам’янця-Подільського, Львова та інших міст, було організоване гетто. 30 серпня окупанти зібрали 2200 мешканців гетто в районі площі Базарної з усіма речами. Євреям було повідомлено, що їх відправлять до Палестини. Натомість жертв вивезли на схід від містечка до села Глибочок. Там було приготовано три ями. Розстріл виконував 320 поліцейський батальйон. Після акції 25 єврейських чоловіків, які сортували одяг і майно розстріляних, були вбиті поблизу салотопні. Решта євреїв, найімовірніше, були відправлені до гетто Дунаївців, де знайшли свою смерть в жовтні 1942 року. Миньківці були звільнені від нацистів 28 березня 1944 року. |
